>>4196383>Making an APS-C camera not being twice the size of a sony A7RV with an equivalent lensMirrorless lenses are almost always bigger because of the short flange
>Autofocus points across the entire frameCanon DSLRs had this before mirrorless even had phase detection
>Better high ISO performance, vibration free silent shutter and EFCS, and receiving the benefits of superior sensor tech in generalMostly nonsense
>WYSIWYG previewIf shooting 8-bit, otherwise what you see is less than you get.
>Enabling lens designers to put elements where the mirror box once was, and lens designers on better mounts to reduce vignetting at every focal length instead of only long onesAnd yet the most horrid vignetting I've seen came from Sony and their baby mount designed for APS-C and forced to take FF later, because guess what, there's no way to make a lens with a close sitting rear element telecentric unless the element diameter is equal to the sensor diagonal or larger
>lens design changes make aspects of the "leica look" more accessible and less associated with comically large lens, AKA being sharp with fewer aberrations wide open (go look at the new pentax 50mm f1.4 for the DSLR attempt, they really tried)Extreme apertures were never a Leica staple. Yes, the noctilux exists, but 1.4 and faster lenses always enjoyed more demand from TTL shooters than rangefinder ones.
>Low light viewfinder useI find it awful myself. Lots of lag and noise depending on the model.
>Making brand fanboys seethe because sony is not complete shit nowDude, if fujislugs seethe about MILC Sony imagine how hard they would seethe if Sony cameras still came with a real viewfinder instead of a tiny TV screen. I almost bought an a99 II back in the day, then I found it was EVIL and noped the fuck out of there. I didn't even know that Sony colors suck back then, only the specs that sounded pretty good. No real viewfinder, no purchase. It was a nice design otherwise.
