Dropped this stupid shit Holga and some plastic piece broke and the lens started to fall off but I just added a screw in the same place where the plastic was and now it is literally better and more reliable than new which should tell you how retarded these dumb things are.
Absolute joke to pay over 40€ for this. To be fair, with it being so idiotically retarded, it is very easy to fix. It is just stupid crap barely held together with no real thought behind anything. Whatever you McGyver is probably better than the original design.
I'm sure any camera from the thrift store is better for less money and if the quality of the images turn out too good just hit it with a hammer for more light leaks and fuck the lens with some sandpaper. Don't know this for sure as I haven't seen any pictures yet.
Is it normal for the film advance dial to jam up until you fire the shutter another (and sometimes yet another) time? I had to hit the shutter an extra time about every fifth exposure, covering the lens with my hand, and only then would it roll the film any further. The images might be charming due to the optical shittiness and the sketchy construction, but mechanics not working is just annoying.
Focus has that single person, child with 2 parents, big family gathering, and then the mountain icons. The small aperture means it probably doesn't matter a lot anyway.
The f/8 lens is actually f/13. It has a dusk and sun switch. Visual inspection if its operation suggests some plastic piece covers some of the lens opening when you put it in sun mode. Took a few photos with both settings for future comparison.
The flimsy switch means you never know if it is in sun or not, and there is also a shutter switch (1/60s and B, apparently) that seems to move on its own as well.
Will try to get the roll developed tomorrow. Might give it another go later if something turned out at least ok, otherwise I will probably just give it away for someone else to waste a roll with.
