Is the glamour just fading away? Can fashion still be saved?
Posting from here is obviously the deepest irony, but I think photography as a form of art is degenerating overall. Is the internet killing the glamour of fashion ? I mean, even playboy issues from the 20th century were better than the washed down porn and social media commercialized industry that we have nowadays. The internet changed too much.
Some photographic works (especially european, russian, asian..) from the 20th century are absolutely out of this earth and I honestly believe they should be properly documented and archived. My only guess is that there are older people out there sitting on a pile of fortune (old magazines, photos, etc..) who will never find the right place to share them in this day and age.
Of course, some photographers that are still alive still save themselves by seeking inspiration on ancient works, but the majority do not.
