>>4207783By your own standards, the dog with its toys arranged about can be over analyzed to have as much or more content than the mona lisa, especially if you are a homosexual or cANON, like dogs, and consider them more beautiful than women. This indicates that you may have made an incorrect assumption about art.
it is not the number of elements you can pick out. that is an autistic and soulless system. art is about exploiting psychology to communicate an idea without language - one single element or idea is all it actually needs to do this and it can use any number regardless. counting has nothing to do with it, it's about the quality of the content first. second of all and necessarily for "communication", it is about the audience. art is not a plain statement. the artist is a footnote and the artwork is just the beginning. art is in finality, a dialogue between the piece and the viewer. thus it is not objective and if you think it is, you don't have a soul to experience these things and get your ideas from someone else.
an artist who is effective at gaining wide popularity can capture the zeitgeist and understands the common man enough to speak to him
an artist who is effective at gaining a loyal following has spoke to an uncommon characteristic within some human souls
and an artist who is effective at neither is misunderstood and aberrant, a mutant, who will not be understood until much later - but to what end, he'll be dead before he finds out
and an artist who is effective at getting the poseurs of "high" society to shill to gullible university students is probably a nosey and prejudiced fellow.
