What the fuck am i supposed to do when editing photos.

I did a photoshoot with a model but they all look fine in terms of color/light. I'd only resize some f them but that's all. What do you guys do editing all day?

Sometimes you don't need to do much. Sometimes you'll have a vision for a specific look that will need more editing.

Every selfie you have ever seen of a girl is edited as fuck. Pop open her Insta and put it by your photos.

Liquify is going to be your go to tool.

If they have good skin and makeup and you used soft light you may not need much time in the skin but that is not always the case.

Also try downloading the apps girls use to edit their selfies, that will show you all the stuff they are changing.
Wether you like it or not that level of editing is now the expected standard. It’s not so much skin work but reshaping stuff and tweaking hair eyes etc

I use capture one.

Magic brush all the skin, -100 clarity, slight hue shift to contrast well with the colours in teh rest of the scene using the Skin Colour tool, slight luma adjustment on that layer.

Copy that layer, then invert it (so you dont touch the skin tones) slight rgb curve

then a new layer to touch the eyes up, lift shadows, and add a bit more sharpening.

Then after I adjust any contrast, clarity/structure, saturation. I also make sure i use the Pro Profile that capture one has. If I'm really nitpicky i'll sit there burning/dodging different parts of the image.
