rich are rich because they cheap out not because they spend.
two of my friends are very, very rich. one if from bahrain and the other is from japan. both are cheap as fuck and will cry about every single penny they have to spend. especially my friend from bahrain. guy got a literal 1,200 m2 Aladdin cartoon type castle for his 18th birthday and a brand new S class at the time but he will still go to the cheapest stores and buy only products on discount. they even fired their maids once because his father said they cost too much money as if they didnt swim in money.
the whole american dream and idea of movie starts, singers and whtever other idiots spending money like theres no tomorow and still having millions left is just that. an idiotic american idea and a dream. its not reality.
