If you ain't shooting commercial photography, then go with compact primes. You will never regret it. Primes are able to deliver top image quality even while being very small. Not to mention that compact primes are usually cost not so much. Compact size will bring to you a mobility and a comfort during shootings. Simplicity of process is a prime key for better efficiency.
