>>4204494We're talking about image editing, as in; light retouching, color correcting and grading, lighting corrections and so on - not using a god damn IES to turn a random, hairy, mole ridden, female goblin from Bangladesh into god damn Thylane Blondeau... People who do fashion, beauty, fine art, portraiture, weddings, events, baptisms, hell, automotive even or in short just about 90% of all photography, do not need and will never need to use a program such as Photoshop - I shoot primarily fine art and fashion and I'm doing it for exactly 13 years now and I sure as hell didn't ever even have thoughts about getting Photoshop, let alone ever actually needing to use such a program. Also, nophoto poorfag alert.
>>4204497Sony, Canon, Fuji or Nikon... Does not matter. Whichever of the four you choose as your system, you're MUCH better off with either Phocus or CaptureOne. Especially when it comes to color grading and color correcting. That's not even up for debate, it's a fact.
>>4204523Uhh... Yes, yes you can, and it's not ''half-assing'' it.
>>4204536Ah... Is that why CaptureOne and Phocus are by far the most used IES with high end photographers all around the globe?! Even high end photographers who don't shoot on Hasselblads and Phase Ones use either Capture One or Phocus. I don't know about you but if I had to learn from someone and take someones advice, I'd rather listen to and take advice from the very best, than settle for listening to advice from all these ''professional photographers'' around the world nowadays. I've been using Phocus for years and CaptureOne since it came out, I've also used Lightroom for almost 3 years (maybe 2) and I tried to give it a chance but it's just not at the same level as Phocus and CaptureOne.
