>Sony FE 50mm f1.8
>literally the minolta 50mm f1.7 with a built in adapter
>slow, noisy autofocus
>soft
>Sony zeiss sonnar 55mm f1.8
>extreme bokeh fringing
>no external switches whatsoever
>extreme copy variation (poor quality control)
>Sony zeiss planar 50mm f1.4
>extreme bokeh fringing
>very soft
>extreme copy variation from somehow sharp to so soft you'd think it was dropped at the factory
>GM huge, yongnuo quality
>GM lenses
>huge, expensive, contrast wash out from "vampric" overdone element count, ala sigma
>sony 50mm f2.5
>literally no excuses for a lens this slow having any problems
>the strongest bokeh fringing ever seen on a camera lens
>loaded with special elements meant to reduce CA, mission not accomplished
>$600!
>sony 50mm f2.8 macro
>literally the minolta 50mm f2.8 macro with a built in adapter
>slow, noisy autofocus
>somewhat soft
To be fair, if this were fuji, excuses would be made for every lens, and the 1.8 would be called the "magic 50" and the 1.4 would be about the vintage experience because aperture ring and dreamy looks. But what the fuck? Canon, leica, panasonic, and nikon do NOT have this problem.
Why can't sony into nifty fifty?
