>>4204589this suffers from being b/w, because colors would have helped separate the three vertical layers and make the middle one more varied, as it's pretty plain as a shape
the bird is also not big enough to make much of an impact
>>4204594not a semblance of composition here
>>4204597this is a lot more interesting and varied, it's like
>>4204580 but much better because it includes a number of different shapes, textures, colors and brightnesses, and they're organized
the organization is simple enough, though it's not like a specific texture is reserved for a specific color, so yeah, this one's nice
why did you crop it so short though?
I figure it was to make the vertical rock stand out even more, but if that's the case I believe it was the wrong choice, that rock is going to stand out enormously no matter what's around it unless there's something that attracts attention even more, so if you left more of the red walls you would have added visually interesting details (the fine texture of the fading paint) without taking away any attention to the main rock
>>4204598this is far too narrow if you ask me, there's too much fine texture to make the composition look flat, and the cut pyramid looks like it's missing stuff out because of the cropped sides
the almost flat free space on top also conflicts with the texture of the bottom since there's so much of it
I would have shot this horizontally
>>4204600too much space on the right compared to the left if you ask me, it would work if the subject looked like it was moving or there was something he was looking at, but it doesn't seem to be the case there
there's not much about composition here either, it's face profile
by my own idea of "meaningful and thought provoking" I recommend you pay more attention to composition, to where/what the eye is drawn in your pictures, and make an effort to think about it when you're shooting
the picture I like the most is
>>4204575, because of the colors especially
