>>4210159I used to use a laptop for everything too, up until literally 3 weeks ago when i changed everything up based on a recommendation from a friend in the industry, now I just have a cheap ass, shitbox of a laptop with as big of a screen i could find for as cheap i could find (17''), just so I can carry it on locations and tether my camera to it, so that i can preview images easier and show images to my clients on the spot, right as were shooting.
for editing i now use and have custom built a separate PC with a 32'' smonitor, that is sRGB and DCI-P3 factory color calibrated with delta <1 color accuracy from the box and 1:2500 contrast ratio... the difference is fucking night and day... especially the 4K resolution on a 32'' monitor. I tried a 27'' first but that was still just a tiny bit too small, 31.5'' or 32'' is just perfect.

also, if i knew how much better and faster those new NVMe drives are, I would have done this waaaaay sooner...
my WD NVMe read and write speeds are over 7GB per second lmfao thats crazy. thats insane!
