I was planning on going out and taking some photos tonight but I should be leaving here in 30 minutes or so and I just don't have the motivation. How do you guys keep your motivation up? If you stay in, what do you do for fun otherwise?

You mean the instagram account? I've seen it before and they are... cool images, I like the theme of a lot of his stuff, but it feels too self-aware and obviously it's staged, which I'm not a fan of. It's not just that he's finding these creepy bayou places and adding some lighting, that would be sick. I feel like the models and movie set-tier lighting really takes away from them.

These are not anything I'm currently working on. But I'm planning on returning to this at some point. I was looking back through old stuff and most residential stuff I don't feel comfortable releasing on my social media stuff, people get weird about that.

Yeah I agree, there are a lot of cool things that could be done with night photos. His is just one of many possibilities.
I was just feeling yours and his has a bit of a horror movie feeling.

I actually went back and looked at it again and it's not nearly as over-produced as I remember. I don't think he has any particularly great photos and it's more he has immaculate vibes. They really do look like horror movie stills and I get the impression he would like to be making films but is stuck doing photography.

Thanks, I really dig how the foveon looks at 3200 and above, it looks very degraded and eerie.

I'm back. I got 3 locations, but I accidentally shot one in crop mode but the place gave me the creeps so badly I got panicked and left.

Don't say that shit bro. I have to go back there and try again. I actually think the shot is perfect and doesn't need to be retaken, like I had originally though, I don't think it would be better wider. But I have to now so the fear doesn't win.

I'm not even sure why, I think it has something to do with that place being outside of town and there is actually something comforting about being around the junkies and the homeless, there is a sense of humanity there, but out there it was nothing. Just the void.

I actually posted this one >>4207772 on /x/ because I have no idea what the fuck those white things are in the middle of the frame. Directly behind whatever it is is a fence, and I have this (pic rel) shot which was taken just 30 seconds earlier and it's the same area.

/x/ said it was just a reflection, but I don't see how that's literally possible.

yuh. I find when I'm already bored or low on energy it's hard to muster enough dopamine to actually get started. Finding something to force me up or out the house can help, for me at least. Ie. telling somene I'm doing x today.

I did go back tonight and get a couple photos and it wasn't creepy at all. I think the music I was listening to, to put me into the correct vibes got me a little too into the vibes and I ended up freaking myself out.

I listened to parts of a couple different Albums 'Trippin' Musik' was okay and I liked 'The Great Ecstasy Of The Basic Corrupt', but they aren't the correct vibe. It's a bit 2experimental4me and it's tone is more chaotic and inconsistent.

Homotopy to Marie is what I was thinking of. it's pretty creepy. me and my friends used to play the first track while driving around creepy dark narrow roads that urban legends said were haunted when we were teenagers. good times.
