Should I get a ricoh gr 3 for $1250 or a used sony rx1r full frame for $1150.

one is a camera that will fill up with dust and other is one that will die by sony's timer, most notoriously the e61 memory error. Just use your phone. If you had to choose, ricoh will probably have better resale value

i've been wonderig about these. can anyone explain to me why they made compact bodies and then squandered the form factor by fixing a giant lens on the front which is longer than the thickness of the body?

ricoh GRs and every other extending lens APS-C suck up dust
fuji X100 cameras of every model are susceptible to lens decentering...straight out of the box
sony RX1s sacrificed reliability for size
everything else is a 1" sensor
