>>4209479If you don't have the money to AT LEST get a X1D2 which is about 5.5k new or 2-3k used, then don't get a medium format camera at all... Why? Because Fujis MF sensor tech is just basically an oversized Fuji APSC sensor, made by Sony with their FF sensor base.
*And that's not to mention that Fujis Medium Format sensors have the good ol' cheap, consumer Bayer CFA that is found in literally every single consumer grade APSC/FF camera nowadays because it's cheap as hell, while MF sensors from Hasselblad and PhaseOne, even the ones in so called ''consumer targeted'' lines such as Hasselblads X system cameras, all use the much better and much more expensive RGB CFA.
There's literally no reason why Fujis MF cameras should cost more than 3.5-4k, they are just, quite literally, oversized, copy paste APSC sensors with FF sensor tech. Literally Sony calling Fuji back and saying ''I know a guy who knows a guy'' and then them together making a ''MF'' sensor.
If you just snapshit around your dogs and around the street, nature or whatever, you won't notice that much difference, you will but the difference wont be as drastic as if you would actually took real photos by fucking around with lighting, contrast and so on and so forth - and then messed around with everything in post too... In that case I guess you could spend 4.5k on a Fuji MF but even then I can't recommend you a Fuji, because if you're spending that much money on the body alone in the first place, then just do yourself a favor and get an X1Dll, even a used one will do...
Local fashion agency working some of the major TV shows that my friend works in got 5 GFX100s when they came out and the dudes there were so disappointed that they kept shooting their ancient H5D's and returned the Fujis. And no, this is not made up, it actually happened. That's where I learned about the Fuji MF sensors being just oversized Fuji APSC sensors with Sony FF tech.
