>>4211346as said, very aspirational gearfag "if only i had a... i would be a..." post. after spending so much time ILC sperging and still not being good, the gearfag seeks simpler equipment because they think it will "uncage" their creativity which must be absent because it was repressed by technicalities, because in the uneducated normies mind, technical things are the opposite of creativity. it's the pop culture meme that art and science are opposed to each other but not the reality.

the final gear redpill for you fags:
Photographers who care about the actual art are totally gear agnostic with two exceptions:
The lensES (and I am not talking about sigma lensdick opdickallimits MTF chart bullshit, god fucking no)
The lighting
And by the lenses, I do not mean they will necessarily pursue a specific lens, but if they use multiple lenses on a shoot they want the "look" of each lens to be a close or exact match so it doesn't stand out in the middle of a set with minimal editing.
If you look carefully at the careers of big names like richardson, leibovitz, mccurry, etc you will notice something odd. They have used literally every camera and not once did you look at their photos and say "oh yeah thats from the mamiya era" or "he used the gf1 for that one". In fact... not once did you look at their photos which is why you think stuff like this. Lol!
