1/4000th has been on ENTRY LEVEL DSLRs since the Nikon D40 era.
Even the Nikon E2 from 19 fucking 94 had a 1/2000th of a sec.
The big two first FFs Nikon/Canon were at 1/8000th.
Only the early and 'budget' film bodies are going to be limited to 1/1000th, like the Nikon FM Circa the late 70s. Few years later, they were over 1/2000th just like the pro bodies.
So proper shut up.
