You guys were wrong. I was talking about how my 85mm prime lens exposed brighter than my 24-70 on the exact same settings and you told me this was not possible.

Now I read fstop is just a technical measure of a lens that does not take into account multiple factors like the type of glass in the lens, the number of elements etc.
Cinema even had to design a new term called t-stops as f-stops is so shit.

This confirms exactly what I knew. My 85mm prime does expose images brighter than my 24-70.

"Basically, the f-stop is the measurement of the opening of the lens; the t-stop is how much light makes it to the sensor."
