What if you went back in time and gave Ansel Adams a new apsc Canon rebel with the kit zoom lens, and some SD cards but took away his film and medium format? Would he make better photographs?

Adams famously spent a lot of time in the darkroom working on his prints.
The zone system functions not so much to produce a great looking photo as to capture the details so that he'd have something to work with to make a great looking print.
So, yeah,. he'd probably just spend most of his time editing his photos and they'd come out looking similar.

Yes, I think the ease of use and light weight would have allowed him to photograph areas he would never have attempted otherwise! Also, he could have worked more easily with color and not been restricted to black and white.
