Anon here >>4208528 asked me about my new Minolta scanner a few weeks back. So here is a comparison of a random frame between my old scanner (9000F) and my new scanner (DiMAGE IV).
Ilford HP5+ pushed to 3200 developed in microphen then 3200dpi scan from the minolta, 9600dpi scan from the 9000F, downsampled in gimp with lohalo to the same size as the minolta then exported in jpg at 95. I can upload the original files somewhere else but I think that's pointless.
tldr dedicated film scanner is better than flatbed who would have thought
