It makes it easier, at least for the kind of sovl I think ur looking for. When you have manual control you’ll try and fix stuff which will take away sovl. Most sovl of these old cameras comes from their preset ways of taking photos so using manual just sort of cancels that out imo. The thing you should focus on more is composition because a good photo is good regardless of pixel count
