Of course I shoot more when I'm travelling, when there's an event, or even when I get a new camera and want to test it (both in terms of functionality, to see if it's working properly, and in terms of exploring the new possibilities provided by it, which I may not have had with other cameras I already own)
I never leave home without a camera, and I shoot whatever grabs my attention, and I'm always looking for something that could be a good subject for a photograph
And yes, sometimes you'll go two weeks without anything worth shooting
Of course I'll take snapshits with my phone on a daily basis, and I'll take a picture of a funny looking house, or a crack on a bus' window, but those are daily life stuff, not necessarily something that would be a 'good photograph'
So yes, it's normal to go weeks without actually shooting something
I find it to be better than shooting whatever, having no criteria and burning 4 rolls a week only to end up with 5 okay photos and 139 shit-tier snaps
Balance is important: take your time, shoot what you would actually *like* to shoot, what you find interesting, but also don't be too paranoid to the point of not shooting at all because you fear it's not worth it
Don't force yourself to shoot N pictures a week, don't set up such a retarded goal
Just always keep a camera with you, and look out for stuff you'd like to shoot
