There's an anon who has an account for the National Geographic Archive who often comes by to post old photos and, since I have the Playboy Archive from 1953-2020, I figured I'd give back and we can have a serious discussion about the history of Playboy portraiture and how it changed over time, etc.
Since this is a blue board, I'll do my best to keep it edited to PG-13 versions of the images as I don't want to upset the mods. Again, I'd like to have a serious discussion about photography.
Is Playboy degenerate? Sure, probably. But I enjoyed it and believe it to be a part of Americana and a genuine snapshot of a time long gone. Now that it's over, I like to go back and look at the old magazines for inspiration sometimes, either for the features, interviews, portraits, and even the advertising.
I'll return in a few hours and answer requests.
