>>4221499>film is the antithesis of gearLiterally every shot is gear
"if only i had portra my photo would be good" is the ancestor of "if only i had this camera/lens my photo would be good" and brick wall shooting dates back to filmfags theorizing that the leica zeiss distatron color skopar angular 63mm f2 contaxamatic could help film resolve its theoretically 6 gorillion brick walls per meter. In fact, wait long enough and some film gearfag will absolutely start screaming about how data sheets and a poor interpretation of bayer arrays show 35mm film totally resolves more detail than a GFX100s.
>Film shooters are so much more talentedLiterally 90% of them take the same boring snapshits as the digital users. Cats, backs of heads, cars from a low perspective, building corners, etc. /p/ is /p/. The only difference is only some of the filmfags know they can edit a negative scan as if it were a raw (scan hidpi 16 bit tiffs), and the others are using crappy lab jpegs sometimes from labs that fuck the colors on purpose for "le retro" look. Which aligns, almost perfectly, with how only some of the digital shooters know how to salvage their crap exposures and the rest are so lazy they shoot jpeg. /p/ gonna /p/.
