I don't want to pay $400-700 for an old SX-70 or SLR 680 with no warranty and then pay another $300-600 to some indie camera modding jews to give it manual settings.
I want to just have more control over my polaroid pics, especially when it comes to long exposures, rumored external display or just better control over the focus not being locked behind an app.

At least polaroids have soul.

I would buy a digital fuji and an instax printer anyways. People can't tell film and small prints on film with a film sim applied apart. This is the secret gearfags don't want you to realize. If a digital device has a higher sampling rate than analog media, if you transfer the data to analog media it looks just like it was analog from start to finish.

as someone who shot like 500 shots with a lomograflok over the last 2 years, i can assure you that current state of instant film is absolute ass and was designed to always be shot with a flash.

If there's shadows It looks like ass/blue
if you overexpose 1 stop, you blew out the image. If you shoot with the perfect conditions the film comes out super warm because it's accounting for the flash.

I want this camera to succeed so maybe fuji will bring back fp100c45. I know they still have those fucking machines.

I'm pretty sure someone tried, and they're failing for two reasons:

1) Fuji still has the machines & patent for peel apart films.

2) Fuji still has the chem ingredients safe guarded as well. So a competitor doesn't make any.

The current age of packfilm is like, 3 shots for 30 bucks, and it's not that great quality. Which is by supersense. Neat project, just doesn't fit the bill.

Polaroid need to fix their film issues before releasing an expensive plastic cam.
Can be the best cam in the world but if the printed photos look like overexposed milk or don't even develop then what's the point..
EVERY review of this L-2 has awful photos samples.

Old polaroids were genuinely good pictures. Decently sharp, good looking colors, I don't understand why improving the actual film isn't at the top of their priority list.
