They look like typical beginner saturated bokeh shots. You'll grow out of it.

The image quality is absolutely horrendous, learn to resize your pictures and save with higher JPEG quality

The blur is purely optical. I wanted some foreground elements to create a bit of depth in the image.

:') I limited filesize to 1MB when exporting from Lightroom to upload them here. Normally I use max quality JPEGs.

The sky banding is because of low export quality to keep filesize low on here. The full quality JPEG doesn't have the banding.
The edges of the Colosseum do look a bit rough, I used the Lightroom AI to select subject for some masking layers.

The colour is a bit of an artistic choice. The weather was dry and hot, and thematically I thought this colour grading would fit well with the Colosseum.
I'm not sure what you mean with the halos. Is it the arches that are too bright on the left side?

Nothing bad, but you're clearly new and these are the same types of photos all new photographers take when they get a decent camera and go on vacation. That is not a bad thing. Just keep shooting.

They aren’t technically (as in skill not like a nerd would say) bad at all. They are just boring. Try a wider lens, try to get lower or higher. Great memory photos for yourself, not making me want to buy prints.

I liked these photos a lot. most are better than what I usually see in /rpt/ threads which are actually boring. your photos are of interesting subjects, they're sharp, and the colors are good. nice work.
