>>4226922>sigma lenses>characterthere two are mutually exclusive
if by character you mean clinical sharpness and faded out, flat look, then yes, sigma lenses have character.
if sigma lenses had any character to them, then every single fine art photographer, fashion photographer and cinematographer/DOP would be crawling all over sigma lenses, instead of zeiss, leica, sony, canon, panavision, hasselblad, schneider, angenieux, cooke and so on and so forth... if you ask any cinematographer or photographer whose name actually means something in photography world, they will all say they like zeiss, leica, cooke, hasselblad, schneider lenses the most. hell, even snoy and canon are well liked in cinema world and nikon by photographers.
guess what all of the aforementioned have in common? character.
guess how REAL photographers and cinematographers choose lenses? by the look/feel the lens has, so it fits the scene better.
stop watching those wannabe next da Vinci of photography, trash instagram/youtube ''professionals'' and get back into the real world and look up what actual world wide famous professionals are doing.
you will learn the most by watching cinematographers and high end fashion and fine art photographers.
thank me later.
