>>4243941What. why?
So I've had the Canon g9x mark 2 since 2018, I've put it through incredible abuses and it's survvied them all, would of taken THOUSANDS upon thousands of shots. Really decent night time camera and absolutely the smallest once inch sensor on the market.
I sold the Canon for the Ricoh and made this thread aha, at times I think the Ricoh is better and times I miss the auto mode on my Canon a lot, Canon felt alot more durable as well, the Ricoh is a month old and had dust on the sensor twicem, luckily the dust removal tool worked...it's fucking in a bag with a lens cap AND STILL.
The constant need for babying, the worrying about the Ricoh makes me miss the Canon a bit desu. I whipped out my Canon like my cock, whenever I felt like it, the Ricoh...if you read around and look arround, it may be small and portable but it's not at all durable it'd seem.
The Ricoh goes on it's first trip soon, if it doesn't survive the 3 weeks it might have to be a love it and leave it thing.
In this small segmeant of the market I don't know what I'd buy though. I had a Sony RX100 back in the day, the lens gears stopped working but felt like that took some amazing shots, infact I got the Canon after the Sony and the Canon did feel a bit of a small downgrade.
I don;'t know how I ended up with a Ricoh desu, can't even shoot a blue sky from my balcony without DUST ON THE SENSOR. If Ricoh can't stand up for my trip I'll smash it against the wall or sell it, most likely the latter and go back to Sony.
I wouldn't go back to Canon as I have blown some things up for my house and just feel like 20 megapixels...even on my 34 inch monitor is just too low quality, too stuck in the past.
>>4243676Thank you for this, I'll read it on the weekend, I do know more than I ever known since getting the Ricoh but yeah few things I need to learn. P is Auto mode on Ricoh but P or Auto mode also...SUCKS on Ricoh.
