>>4238347digital, unless WW3 causes complete grid down senario, in which case it would be digital when there is access to power and a complete manual film setup for when there isn't.
actual gear would be as follows:
last gen (latest gen) DSLRs in F or EF mounts, probably F, like a D850 or if EF mount then a 5D4, because they A) have ubiquitous batteries that are going to be interchangable with a lot of previous gen batteries, and have or can use lenses dating back 30+ years. Also, although its not on par with the lastest mirrorles cameras, you still get really good ISO and AF performance
In the case of the Nikon F mount you can use most F mount lenses, including 3rd party, dating back to the 50's. you can literally find them anywhere. Canon changed their mount in the 80 from FD to EF, and also made their APSc lenses (EFs) incompatible with their full frame cameras.
Id pair that with a film camera that accepts the same lenses but is fully manual like an F, F2, FM2, etc. and an external meter.
Id start out with D series AF lenses so that Id get AF ability when using the D850 but still have the ability to use them on the manual focus film camera.
Id probably get a 28 1.4, 50 1.2, 135 f2, and 2 zooms, a 70-180 2.8, and maybe a 35-150 or 24-105 of some sort. widest focal range with the fastest glass in the fewest lenses possible, compatible with both cameras, and only needing 1 functioning charged battery to run it in the good times.
finally Id have ultra discreet. Something for when you cant be seen wafting around some giant ass camera with a big lense. So Id have 1 small as fuck digital point and shoot capable of manual settings that shoots RAW and video. preferably something with a 1 to m43 sensor. Maybe a Lumix DSC 70, 100/200 or LX, a Sony HX or RX series, or Canon G7x3
