you can get cheap wide-aperture lenses, and you can get cheap long focal lengths, the problem comes when you want both in the same lens
cost to manufacture lens elements (very roughly) scales with their surface area
that's before accounting for economies of scale: fewer people need the wide & long lenses, fewer still willing to pay the higher prices, so the prices are even higher
basically, yes expect to pay 5 digits for what you're looking for
