Its been a while since I made this thread. Is this fungus, oil or water? Looks like oil to me.
Protip: vessel screwdrivers.

I've gotten two fd lens, from different sellers and both have fungus. This is sigma 35-70, that one was canon 50. I recently repaired my e mount. I think I bought a camera that had been dropped and had issues with the mount. I dislodged the diopter and now I can't take anything turning up on it.

Looking at videos of disassembly of fd lenses gives me anxiety.

If you could get that flare shield out of the way I bet you can get that rear element out pretty easy with a set of lens forceps

Not surprised. I have not messed around with that many lenses, but I've had a go at removing fungus on a few pentax takumars and a minolta md lens and those were easy to work on for a newb.
