>>4242040>ohhh noooo shillsI use sony cameras professionally but i'm not a dpreview/fredmiranda tard who goes out of their way to find a way to break cameras like "ohhh ahhhhh i'm going to take a picture of my lens cap and increase exposure 10 stops to check if my sensor is better than my discord friends sensors"
I can also tell you that literally every sony not called an "a1" is cripple hammered for sports. Thankfully, I don't shoot sports, and never will, like annie leibovitz will never shoot a wedding. Sports is low class. Low brow. Not art. Neither are weddings. Don't insult yourself by being involved with these, and get a job programming remotely to fund a portrait studio. It's actually a more creative pursuit.
Yes a camera from 2017 is ancient shit. If it ever had weather sealing the seals on the most used parts are totally gone now. But now you know it didn't, so you can just do what normal people do and use a cover.
>>4242042>A few dropsDoesn't actually do anything, prolonged exposure does especially if you neglected to actually look at your lens to check if it's sealed.
>Run insideJust throw a bag on it, right then and there.
>If you actually hikeI can not for the life of me imagine ruining a once in a lifetime hike by having a camera the whole time and stopping to take pictures everywhere. It puts a camera shaped wall between you and life and ruins the experience of just being there. Cameras stay in the bag. There is living time, and there is camera time. But if I did, i wouldn't use one from 2017 anyways, because it wouldn't have anything for a warranty. It's cheaper and easier to get no questions asked replacement coverage on something the providing company doesn't think has already been through afghanistan.
>>4242043Other than the newer and more expensive ones working fine?
