I looked at my local orthodox churches and they started each sermon by blessing the royal family, government, and armed forces. I think at this point the only option is you + Bible.

Very spot on, it was literally a small unremarkable chapel in a nowhere corner in Italy. I had to revisit it when the light was just right to take the picture. As a contrast, this is in the Sagrada Senpaiília in Spain, one of the largest Catholic church in the world

The lighting in these is beautiful. These both have very different tones to me though, 2nd photo seems very soft and dreamy. But the 1st one has a harsher look. What lead to these differences? Particularly the 1st one, I like it a lot

I know, I'm spanish. If you like these buildings Madrid, Toledo and the small cities around have plenty of them. To be fair pretty much every province capital has its share of churches and chapels. There are even some early romanic and templar churches still standing.

It's mainly the editing, which i do informed by the lighting available. First image had less light that was focused by limited sources, so i edited it with a higher contrast and emphasized the dark/shadowy parts. second has much more light, and a bigger/more generalized source, so i reduced the contrast and soften the shadows to give a lighter mood to the image.

A few years ago I was on one of the Dodecanese. A bit off the path to one of the islands more known beaches lay a small chapel. Completely nondescript. Not mentioned or marked in any tourism publication, probably intentionally. I stumbled on it by chance. Inside it was an ancient byzantine fresco of Archangel Michael slaying the Dragon.
