im looking for a cheap and small 2000's p&s with a nice aesthetic to carry around when I go out. preffereebly one with a fast flash since my last p&s took forever to charge the flash
what are some recommendations? most recommendations on youtube for "cheap 2000's p&s" have sky rocketed in price so i want to avoid them

Here's the secret trick:
Literally any of them
It doesn't matter how tiny the sensor or shit the lens is
Like every pro level FF body and lens is close enough and only giant autists care, they are all every bit as good (and shit) as each other
The ones where you really want them to be best in class so your money doesnt disappear for no reason are really only the real new, 1" and APS-C sensor stuff that you're not even thinking of, everything else is beyond phone levels of bad regardless

Buy 10 of some shitty camera, i mean godawful, as long as its small and someone still makes the battery its "it", make a youtube video while you do a photowalk and show before and after edits on the screen as chill lo fi hip hop tunes to study to play in the background enjoy your money

any extra thing it does like shoot raw or work with some obscure firmware replacement is just that, extra

my girlfriend has a Sony Cybershot T2 that has legitimately excellent color science. Not very detailed but great for snapshots. Also I don't think you can go wrong with the Canon G line. I owned a G9 and it was excellent.

They're not as trendy so their prices aren't too inflated, and IMO kodak ccd color is actually peak vibe.

FPBP. But I would add something to this statement and that is that if you're looking for something to take pictures with that certain aesthetics, older is better. Once you start getting to around 6mp the photos will look a little more modern.

Bonus cheat: buy and old phone. The sensors in old camera phones are typically even shittier than the ones in phones of the same era. Theyre much cheaper and typically less fragile.
