A few months ago I purchased a Konica Revio KD-300Z and have been pretty impressed with the uniqueness of the images that come out of it.
There is a canvas-like quality to the grain, and the colours are beautiful. It feels like the ideal of a digishit.
I'm going to share a few of my favourite images that I've gotten from it here.

All of the controls are unfortunately automatic. So getting the photos to look exactly how you'd like (especially when it comes to shutter speed) is rather difficult. Another photographer who also uses this camera uses zone focusing and then tricks the light meter by first half pressing on a bright part of the environment and then recomposing.

The camera is from 2001, so the standards regarding digital photography terminology are a bit lax. Hence, ISO is set as either 2x or 4x and exposure compensation only changes the contrast of the resulting JPG.

The lighting here was completely white so I have know idea where the ethereal green is coming from. Lighting in this self portrait is composed of bike lights.

The noise works well with the fog.
Another quirk with this camera is you need a power bank to use it. Even a new battery from China will only last 10 shots. It's a bit of a hassle to attach the DC 5v adapter to the camera every time, but worth it.

All of the photos in the fog are taken roughly at 10/11pm, don't remember exactly. Here's a photo in sunlight. I set the camera to always use max ISO as I like the noise.

It's video capabilities are truly cutting edge.
You can record 15fps footage for 15 seconds.
To be honest I'm surprised it even has video ability.

Definitely underexposed somewhat, but by the JPG processing, not the camera itself. I generally have the exposure compensation set to the darkest possible -2.0

Here is a photo of the camera itself taken on my main digishit.
I'm very surprised that the price of this camera hasn't been ruined by youtubers yet. It seems like the ideal camera for that bullshit. I got mine for about 100 eurodollars. Came with a broken lens curtain that the seller didn't mention but I managed to fix that.
From what I've heard from others who use this camera, the main failure point is the lens. I know someone who has gone through almost six of these.
It should also be noted that this camera is a rebrand of the Kyocera Finecam S3, so if you see one of those, it's the exact same camera.
Other Kyocera cameras from the era have almost the same look to their photos, however, the unique grain pattern does not continue past this model.
Some other cameras of interest are:
Kyocera Finecam SL300R/SL400R
Kyocera Finecam L3V/L4V
Kyocera Finecam S3/S3/S5/S5R
Toshiba PDR 3310 (rebranded finecam S4)
Konica Revio KD-300Z (one I have.)
The SL300R/SL400R have both unfortunately become expensive beyond their value.

Unfortunately not. The 300Z is a rebranded Kyocera Finecam S3 and the aesthetic is a Kyocera exclusive thing. Above I posted a list of cameras which have the same aesthetic. I'm sure you can find one there.

Honestly, all of these small old digital cameras are such fun to use. Previously my main camera was a D3500, but I got a Panasonic Lumix LX3 a year ago and have been using that ever since. I think ease of access and pocketability are underrated qualities in cameras. Also, nice photo Anon! Looks peaceful.

It was a pretty insane price honestly. Especially if you've been finding them for 5 euro. I think more people are becoming aware of this camera, which is somewhat unfortunate. I really fucking hope it doesn't become a tiktok trend.

All of these concert pics are from the LX5.
Main differences between the LX3 and LX5 are that the LX5 has a longer zoom range and a bit better stabilisation. I think the lens on the LX5 is bit less sharp as well unfortunately. Either way, it takes very good photos, and did surprisingly well in the dark environment.

The camera is much more difficult to get good images out of in the winter. ISO begins to significantly worsen the image around 800. I consider anything above that to be unusable.

There are separate listing/auction portals in my shithole too though zoomies started to find out and ruined things. In 2021 there were few scalpers and boomers overpricing beaten up cameras but still I got all of my digishits for 5-20 eur maximum. Now I browse the listings and I'm glad I bought them back then. There are some more esoteric ones, pre-2001 digitshits I'm hunting down but I had no luck with these so far. Thanks anon, I hope your 300z will last you long!
