like look at the northrups. their photography career didn't make quite enough money for them, its just not steady work for 99% of people unless you want to travel constantly and aim for eventual conde nast employment, so instead of double timing it with a real job they went full "if you cant do, teach" and also started running ads for extra cash. and they are extremely successful at this. what's your excuse?
fucking ken rockwell figured this out. i know his wife makes good money and he sold his condo for half a million when they hooked up, but the guy is not even a photographer and yet he has monetized photography by being an internet troll with a web 1.0 blog page that begs for donations.
