>>4275538>Do actually good compact mirrorless cameras existif you dont mind buying an older model (years oler) then the answer is yes
if you want the current technology (read technology as; bullshit marketing scam cameras), then the answer is no, you wont find anything under $1500 unless you go to the used market and even then you will be limited by what you can buy because you will be buying 3-4 year old or even older camera models.
thing is, consumer grade manufacturers like the big trio (canon, nikon, sony) for example. all started to throw a bunch of stupid, unnecessary tech and ''innovations'' onto ALL OF THEIR cameras instead of just making specialized, separate models with that specific tech/innovations, because they learned that by doing that, they can increase the price by a shitton on all of their cameras, not just specific models and you idiots will still buy into their marketing tricks and give your money to them.
the reality is however, 90%> of people and not just regular people actually, 90%> of professionals too, including, big budget high end professionals, will only be using the shutter button, the ISO, SS and apeture buttons, and maybe, just maybe the mode dial 1, 2 and 3 to switch between their preset iso/ss/apeture settings... thats is... 99% of the marketing bullshit tech in the camera will never be used by 90%> of people who buy the camera, including pros and high end pros. only people shooting very specific things such as sports, motorsports, wildlife, action, astro or macro will actually be benefiting by SOME of all that new tech and innovation marketing bullshit and even these people wont use half of the shit the camera has. not only that but if you combine all of the aforementioned fields (sports, macro, action, etc.) these fields ALL TOGETHER dont even make up 15% of the entire photo industry and that alone tells you manufacturers DO NOT fucking care anymore and are doing this bullshit only for profit.
