It smooths the fuck out of images and makes them look AI generated, yes. In general it has a soft-grain look and lightroom is harsher and more detailed.

those are the settings. I usually don't touch the noise reduction stuff at all (I tend to like noise - unless it's heavy chroma noise, but that hasn't been an issue since 2008 or so)

You could easily photoshop a picture of an AI cat over any other image you had open.

Here is an AI cat, the more I look at it, the more convinced I am that cat is an AI cat.

This is based on capture ones noise reduction being the smoking gun that it wont make it that smooth.

Yeah none of these cats have realistic catch lights in their eyes to fit the scene.

That original one I was doubting has a very strong catch light coming in the direction from the back of the laptop which doesnt make sense.
