>>4282252These are, off-center in the midframe, and the text is ~10 feet away for reference. I do have FF lenses that perform worse, and I consider the 50 APO a pretty high standard. There are also definitely stronger Fuji lenses at other focal lengths.
For my use case, I still rarely print beyond 12x18 and typically deliver at 20mp for clients, so both are just fine. AI works well enough when I need more (
>>4280431 >>4280436) too, but I have no desire for high mp and extreme pixel peeping anymore.
>>4282351Absolutely. These all have 0 NR and the same modest input sharpening in C1 (50, 0.7, 1, 0), no output sharpening. Exported crops at 150%, larger ones shrunk down just via default PS's transform tool. You're absolutely right though, and sharpening settings will absolutely make a bigger difference than what you see here.
Here's just a screencap within C1, f5.6 / f4, 400% crop on the ff, and equiv crop on the x-trans. This time 0 sharpening at all. I feel like all the pixel peeping focused gear talk is just a distraction from actually taking pictures, or focusing on other things that matter more (composition, technique, processing, lenses, etc).
