I did conversions on my D90 and D5600
For the D90, it ended up shit and I could only use the live view because my focus was thrown off
The D5600 conversion was much more technical because I actually recalibrated focus when I did the conversion
Are you shooting film or digital?
>The problem I have with infrared is that it either needs such heavy editing to obtain the unique colors that you sometimes see or the b&w IR doesn't look all that different from normal b&wIR has a completely different profile than visible. When you're shooting infrared, midday peak sun will look like a midnight with full moon, while one hour from twilight will look like full sun because of the way that IR scatters through the atmosphere.
If you're shooting IR, pick shots that have either foliage or reflective surfaces, because both handle IR in a different way than visible
a channel swap isn't a big deal, but IR can look good without a channel swap, too
