>>4288165>everything imaginable>doesnt know that AI uses preexisting images to create ''new ones''people still dont understand that AI image generation is like little kids making their own story book from newspapers and magazines. if there are no magazines and newspapers (read as: data/samples) to choose from, theres nothing to ''create.''
there are a bunch of things i or you can imagine in our heads right now, that are so unique and were never before thought of, that the AI programs wont be able to make because it has no data/samples to pull from to make exactly what you tell it to. AI image generator is just a program, a huge sequence of codes, its not a person, it doesnt have a brain and imagination, it literally just mashes up a ''new image'' by ripping apart old ones that are already in its sample pool/database.
whereas a human, can just think up of something completely new, never before existing and completely unique, because we dont need a database of preexisting shit to make something new, we have imagination and creativity. e.g if you told a human to make the same exact thing you just imagined, he would be able to listen to your instructions and sketch up the exact thing you told him/her to, because he/she too can use imagination, while an AI image generator wont ever be able to create that same new, unique thing youre asking it to create.
