>>4289531I shoot manual+auto iso indoors. for testing, that should be valid, f2 and 1/45 lets in the same amount of light adjusted by the t stop which should actually be darker on the more complex nikon lens or at least the same. f4 and 1/45 should let in 1/4 as much night and simulate the m43 disadvantage.
instead the olympus file came out darker and the rest didn't need any major brightening. minor adjustments only. most micro four thirds cameras run darker on sensitivity but don't have any extra dynamic range to back it up. exp push in c1 looks the same brightness as the extracted jpeg preview so i believe this is an intentional engineering decision to meme users into protecting their highlights.
>"equivalence"doesn't really matter in real life.
>>4289550some concerns
1: its harder to tell on a phone screen. if you said "i cant tell at all" i'd ask you about your poverty level android phone.
2: some subjects and situations punish shit cameras more than others.
3: the 25mp models are a bit better, but sized and priced such that without interest in videography autism i'd rather buy another lens for nikon.
4: i can't tell the 16mp and 20mp m43 sensors apart at all. 0 difference.
5: carrying both i'd rather have the larger camera because it can be used with gloves and i only ever hit the buttons around the mount by accident, rather than all of the buttons by accident. taking both on a short trip, i'd take the epl5 as to not give a shit if it got stolen.
anyways i deleted the test photos because flickr free only lets you have so many private uploads and i use it for sending people photos of themselves lol
