Why though? What fucking retard thought that disposable cameras were a good idea? Disposable anything is a terrible idea, but for some things I kind of get it. Disposable medical shit is sterile and safe (although you could sterilise your equipment). Disposable food boxes mean you can get takeout and don't need to return the box (although you could just bring your own tupper). But disposable fucking cameras?

Adapting a disposable lens to an ILC is dumb. Zoomers talking about disposable cameras without basic research is even dumber. Most parts in those were reused, that's why development was included in the price. The lab sent the body back to the manufacturer to get paid.

Why didn't they just make cheap cameras that were not disposable? All the technology is in there anyway. Just. Give me the very same technology with the ability to replace the film and maybe swap the battery. Shouldn't cost more. I will have the same low risk when going drinking plus in 99% of the cases where I don't lose or break my camera I still have it because I don't need to throw it away. 135 is just the technical name for 35mm film
400 ISO, 27 exposures is very typical for disposable cameras. I think the 27 shots is just 24 shot film that they loaded in the dark so you get a couple extra shots on the leader but not 100% sure.

Back in the day before digital disposable cameras were handy in a tight spot. For example when I visited Japan my camera was damaged in transit so bought some fuji disposables to capture the trip.

my battery was a usb powered battery eliminator and a battery bank strapped to a mini-tripod I just left attached to the camera, which provides a good handle. I use that setup as the battery lasts all day left on because shitty sony mirrorless problems. It broke somehow when I plugged the usb into a mains adapter to download photos over wifi
