A bit ago I found a Praktica L2 with a Pancolar 50mm lens inexplicably strapped to it at a New Jersey thrift store. The aperture even worked fully. It's Honecker's ghost shined upon me that day, genosse.
I eventually stuck it on a different, less beat to shit, camera I replaced all the light seals on. Still those 70s SLRs are a great starting point for anyone, they are common in the US somehow, and all of their kit lenses range from above mid to damn nice. Pic related are my two favorite combos so far, I'm new to this hobby though so I'm still in the process putting my first roll through each.
