These charts are retarded. I wish hobbyists would keep their noses out of trying to objectively measure gear with ghetto tier labs and just parrot the shit they get from people with actual optical testing equipment so we could be spared the confusion resulting from boomers measuring lenses based on medium distance document scanning attempts.
Pic related is how the zone of sharp focus often looks on lenses. It curves more if you focus closer and less if you focus further away. Now realize, most of these charts are generated by a boomer attempting to find the ideal place to put a flat plane through this. So it doesn't really affect how the lens would perform on a real subject, which is normally curved, and if edge sharpness matters, normally far away (so the field flattens out more)
