I grew up not far from it on the Bavarian side and first went there about 30 years ago for holidays, so I figured I should do two weeks of hiking there to see what has changed and what has remained the same
Hiked from Železná Ruda to
Prášily, then to Modrava, Horní Vltavice, Černý Kříž, then took a bus to hike from Nové Hutě to Kašperské Hory
Took a short break in Pilsen, then walked from Osvračín to Kdyně and did the tour from Čeňkova pila to Modrava on the last day

Such a lovely little river, but much harder to take good photos of than the Vydra
