Took my new Ricoh GRiiiX Urban Edition to Toulouse for a weekend.
Was great to have a pocketable camera for a change and I haven’t touched my X-T4 since getting the GR. I kinda miss the EVF sometimes but I love the picture quality and 40mm equiv lens.

It’s a great little camera isn’t it? I loved my griii so much that I also bought the iiix. Semi pointless and I coijodnt really afford it, but this is America baybee, if you aren’t leveraged on credit to the tits you’re doing it wrong.

I had the GRiii and loved it too. Had a lot of fun with it, but the missing VF I couldn't handle. Sure, there is this thingie to put on for around 300€ (wtf), but it looks inconvinient and kinda eliminates the form factor.
Also the display, yet very nice quality, with no tilt is a bummer.

I bought the G5X ii recently and guess I will soon sell my X-T3. I like the fuji haptics and all, but it still feels too clumsy.
Probably will settle for a Lumix for changeable lenses.

Anyhow: nice shots, Anon. Keep em coming.

I agree. This particular one is using the built-in crop which causes a surprising drop in quality (down to 4MP!). Sometimes when travelling you just need to zoom. I honestly can't decide in retrospect if I'd have preferred my X-T4 with a zoom lens.

Also the grain can be pretty awful. One thing I thought I'd have trouble with is keeping the horizon level but it wasn't a problem after the first couple of days.

Why use the built in crop?
Just crop it out of the high res...
And you can zoom with the GR iiix - they got this adapter.
Great camera. Just a bit missing out somethings like evf and tilting display.

OP here, I think I am going to sell the GRiiiX. Whilst the size is great, you don't get the full LARP experience without a viewfinder and a good two-handed hold of a camera. And almost no shutter sound. Photography is supposed to be a fun experience to me, not just a way to produce images so I think I am just going to stick with my X-T4.
This pic is resized as big as I can to get the 4MB limit.
