Canon is basically the Intel of cameras. They rested on their laurels for way too long with oudated fabs, sensor tech, and ancient processors, and basically everyone else moved on to Sony sensors resulting in Canon being consistently 1 gen behind on everything except AF and lenses. Pretty sad what Canon has become.

Brother, what the fuck are you smoking? The R3 is an absolute industry standard in sports photography, and the R5 in everything else.

Tons of pros actually prefer Canon DSLR's to Sony's mirrorless.

and of course 1/3 of those are black, so nikon. broadcast cameras mostly sony too. you also misread my original quote since I said "Sony sensors" and went into an autistic rage about Canon vs Sony cameras. Every other camera maker caved realizing Sony made better sensors except Canon obviously and they're basically forced to bake in NR to be somewhat competitive.
