I'm looking into selling stock photos as a side job, since it seems like a low risk form of income that, if it pays off, will be good and, if not, then I don't lose much depending on what kind of photos I'd take. I've never done this before, so I'm not very knowledgeable about this market and how to go about it. It looks like Shutterstock, Getty Images and Adobe Stock are the main websites for it, is that right? Are any of them not as big as they do seem or is there any other major website I seem to be missing? Anyways, I'm thinking of starting out through these, at least to see what happens.
Are there any general tips and words of advice I should hear before starting out? Anything goes, I'm always eager and willing to learn from people with more experiences and knowledge than me, either that they got from others, their personal experiences, etc. I feel like I'm aimless right now.
As I've mentioned, I don't see this as a carrer, it's just a way to potentially make something on the side, investing as little as I can into it, not really having deadlines or doing it full time, just a way to potentially make something from some of my photos. So, what should I really know going in?
