I have to drive on roads where people hate me, to go to shippers that don't want to deal with me even though I'm probably the only guy who speaks English, to deliver products to ungrateful bastards who think I'm stupid, then when I'm empty I have to drive an hour out of town to park because NoT iN MaH BaCkYaRd HoSS. Trucking used to be fun but now it sucks and everything is regulated vigorously but my pay which is the same as it was in 2017.
You're home every day and sleep in a bed that doesn't vibrate, people are happy to see you and you have a pot to piss in every night, you have easy access to healthy food and a regular schedule, I'm lucky if I have a porta-shitter, count your blessings.
>>4318490Not quite, I'm going local and hazmat end of the year, not worth owning equipment in Biden's economy. Rates are in the toilet and local guys who are home every night make more than me now. I'm only doing well because my rig is paid off.
