I'd say he is a quite good reviewer, he has sharted on sony on several occasions and he does have a fair point. He would have said what he felt about the product which is why they don't want him. He also pointed out several things that happens behind the scenes with these events where some even wanted to know prior how he would title his videos before even having reviewed the product etc.

My man, this is 4chan. People are going to be contrarian fucks because they have nothing better to do with their time. He even explains in the video that most of the press events aren't fully paid for and cost them to travel to but OP is a retard and came to his conclusion first instead of listening what was being said. Not being invited to a press event because they thought he wouldn't unabashedly praise the camera is insane and deserves to be called out. If Sony did something like this, there would be 10 threads a day for the next month crying about it.

His point was that these events aren't conducive to meaningful reviews, at best they are just very basic overviews with no real insight about the camera, effectively amounting to free advertising for the companies because youtubers feel pressured to put out videos over analytics and finances rather than them having anything meaningful to say and Gerald's not wrong. After watching several S9 videos, I feel like I had no actual information on the camera that couldn't be read off a spec sheet or a small pamphlet.

Except he outlines the various other times he either wasn't invited to events, opted not to go to an event or did go to an event and refused to make a video about the camera until he had his own to review properly. This isn't the first time this has happened. The guy is actually showing some principles here and somehow you think there's some psyop going on.
